WOMEN'S HEALTH MENTOR + BODYWORKER
I came to this work through my own healing from sexual abuse in my late teens. In my search to find healing, I tried it all. From alcohol and meaningless drunk sex, to talk therapy, dance therapy, jade eggs, energy healings, hitting a giant foam block with a baseball bat, screaming into a pillow, and everything in between. Though each time I removed a layer of the hurt, I still always felt like there was something stuck in my body.
Then I found Holistic Pelvic Care, and my world opened. It was still my story but I no longer carried it in my body.
I remember early on my exploration I often felt turned off by the women’s wellness world. Often in women’s work, there is a notion that one has to start saying, ‘Oh my Goddess’ or buy a one-way ticket to Bali to start healing her relationship to the feminine. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but for many women, including myself, this seemed silly and inaccessible.
I come from a family of doctors and lawyers, and I love to know ‘how things work’. I love applying the physiology and anatomy to this intuitive work. My approach to all things pelvic health has always stemmed from this idea that to really embrace the mystery of the woo-woo womb, we also have to ground this experience.
I work with clients to bring together these two worlds. I believe we create connection here, not only by understanding the body but also by experiencing it.
My deepest transformations came from exploring the power of my pelvic bowl. In reconnecting with the root tissue, I transformed my trauma and anxiety from my center.
I sometimes say to client’s, to be a woman is to be traumatized. We are not always processing through big T traumas, but we do live in a sex negative culture which does not support curiosity and education around our female anatomy.
Pelvic Care helped me identify my every day anxiety, and continues to help me transform the way I process anxiety and everyday stress.
Healing my root has completely altered my life. I am proud to be a certified Holistic Pelvic Care™ practitioner, to have trained with Tami Lynn Kent, and to share this knowledge with women worldwide.
I believe there is no one way, nor right way to heal. It’s a little bit of this, a little bit of that, and a whole lot of courage. Every person is different. I work with clients using breath, the body, intentional movement, and educational anatomy to help each person find their own healing potential. Everything can heal.
My intention as a healer is to give women the tools to journey into wholeness. My work focuses in pelvic healing and centers around themes of intimacy, sensuality, and intuitive self-nourishment.
Education + Trainings
I am a deep believer that licenses, certifications, and trainings are not an exclusive guide to the qualifications of a practitioner. One can do all the training without learning the work, just as easily as one learns to listen and understand without official training.
My methodology includes a mix of modalities and learning as well as my own embodied lived experience. I am constantly continuing to deepen my understanding of the body and psyche through self-learning, collaboration with colleagues, as well as professional trainings.
