Sovereign Touch Bodywork

What is Sovereign Touch Bodywork?

Sovereign Touch is based upon the idea that true healing and unwind comes when we approach the body without agenda. When we remember that the body is already inherently wise and naturally trying to orient towards balance. Our purpose as touch-workers is not to tell the body (or our clients) what is best/right/wrong, but to witness, initiate, and support clients into hearing the whispers and language of the body expressing its needs.

Using a variety of integrative nervous system centered touch modalities—fascial based manual therapies, cranial sacral therapy, lymphatic drainage, energy work—we create a session that meets your body exactly where it is at.

Every body is different. No two sessions are the same.

How does SOvereign Touch Bodywork differ from Sovereign Pelvic Care?

These offerings were birthed together, bringing together Sydney’s 10+ years of training and practice in women’s health and non-agenda, trauma integrative touch.

Sovereign Touch is a applied value system and way of being with the body. It is relational bodywork, meaning client and practitioner co-create the healing space together.

Sovereign Touch Bodywork refers to whole body care of this modality. Sovereign Pelvic Care applies this work deeper to hands-on / hands-in vulva-vaginal genital touch care.

What does a Typical session Look like?

Every practitioner will integrate Sovereign Touch differently, as this is relational bodywork.

Sovereign Touch is a way of being with the body more than a specific modality. When we approach the body and individuals as unique each session we get to unwind any preconceived notions or agenda of what the body needs.

This means that every session looks different, integrating what is needed in the present moment. One session might feel like a more traditional massage treating full body, while the next integrate intra-oral touch to address how the body is carrying that week’s stress. Practitioners are trained to weave together varying touch and trauma integration modalities to meet you exactly where you are.

Below is a non-exhaustive list of modalities woven into the threads of Sovereign Touch Bodywork.
