Choosing your Herbs
Please remember that herbal medicine is medicine. It is important to choose a steam blend that is right for you.
Even better is to have a blend made specifically for your steaming intentions.
TYPES OF HERBAL BLENDS
It’s important to use the right herbs for your body. Below is a little cheat sheet for herbal language you might find when purchasing herbs
CLEANSING
These blends are the most common herbal blends you will find. These blends focus on the intention of increasing circulation and movement of lymph. Ideal for addressing pelvic stagnation caused by long cycles or missing periods.
Disinfecting
Disinfecting blends are used to address imbalances in pelvic flora, such as yeast infections + BV. These symptoms do require more specialization in creating a supportive steaming protocol and it is always recommended to work with a practitioner when addressing chronic infections.
COOLING
These blends focus on the intentions of cooling + hydration. Ideal for address symptoms of excess heat and dryness, such as perimenopause and vaginal dryness.
